News from BT
As a precursor to revamping the website and another village leaflet
distribution I ordered some new BT Wholesale campaign leaflets (branded “Get
on and get it”).
I have just received the following email from BT:
Dear campaigner
Thanks for visiting the Get on and get it website.
We've noticed that you don't have a trigger level set for your exchange
yet. This is to let you know that BT are reviewing your exchange area and we
will contact you within the next two weeks to give you an update on whether
a trigger level will be set for your exchange. This is so that we can
allocate our resources as effectively as possible. Your order is being held
until the trigger review has taken place.
The Get on and Get It campaign is in three layers, no trigger, trigger and
run up to installation, we obviously fall between no trigger and trigger
Therefore in
TWO
weeks we will know if BT thinks it will be commercially viable to upgrade
the Wroxton exchange.
Now is the time to check that your neighbours have voted for broadband, if
they haven’t remind them that they don’t have to commit to anyone and they
are only showing an interest for the future.
I have a supply of posters and leaflets if people are attending local events
that can be used to publicise the campaign.
Alternatives
I will be attending various Broadband and wireless events in July and will
report back with costings and details if BT say no.
Website
I am going to move the website to a new hosting company and will be
providing a forum for you to provide your views on what to do next.
Village information on the
website
I have started with a Hanwell page, but if anyone would like me to put other
items on the site please let me know.
Other local exchanges
This page will be enhanced to include all exchanges that border Wroxton and
Banbury. I am hoping that the Banbury Guardian might take it up in a similar
way to the petrol campaign they have been running.
Adderbury
Adderbury have just reached their trigger level of 250 if they can do it so
can we.
